Balansgången mellan ortodoxi (=renlärighet, som är nödvändigt) och förtröstan på att den Helige Ande verkar på ett sådant sätt i människor att man inte behöver agera ”trospolis” utan istället möta medmänniskan med tålamod, respekt och kärlek (vilket är lika nödvändigt). I believe orthodoxy is of utmost importance. What you believe is true must coincide with what is true. There is no such thing as ”it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as it’s sincere.”
I say this as someone who knows what it is like to be in bondage to wrong beliefs, blinded by them, and consequently unable to find the freedom in Christ to avoid slavery to sin.
I also believe the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, and that sometimes truth statements written in black and white or memorized and regurgitated back by right-meaning people who do so in the flesh, without the life of the Spirit and His timing giving life to the words, do more to alienate people to the Truth than draw them.
